    1. I was entertained. But then again I bought a comic bases solely on a cool title. The collected works here suffers from being "between" issues / events from long ago. So there is no real unified story and what there is of a story is chopy. The artwork is somewhat uneven as modern artis try to recreate other artists style. I was actually suprised at how good the Grey Hulk Vegas Story and Red Hulk story turned out. I did not think they could catch the spirit of Mr Fixit and frankly after the Civil W [...]

    2. This turned out to be a lot better than I thought it would be. The individual chapters are not linear, but linked by the changing relationship between the Hulk and various incarnations of the Avengers down the years, and to an extent in the style of the times in which those stories were published, certainly in terms of dialogue. As is the nature of these types of books, the quality varies from story to story, although none of them are bad and they all capture the essence of each era. In a way it [...]

    3. A collection of five issues by five different teams of creators set during five different points of Hulk / Avengers continuity. Clever concept with varying degrees of quality (and some wonderful cover artwork by Lee Weeks). Nothing groundbreaking here. If choosing a favorite, I'd go with the third issue which takes place during the "gray" Hulk as Mr. Fixit in Vegas years just for the final four pages (where Tony Stark and Banner/Hulk talk like comrades with a history). As for the West Coast Aven [...]

    4. This was a quick, fun read. It is 5 stories, that each look at a diiferent time period with the Hulk and The Avengers. If you only know The Avengers from the current movie then this may open your eyes, or bore you.I've been reading comics off and on since the 1970's, so I really enjoyed this. One common theme is how The Avengers underestimate or misunderstand The Hulk. They never seem to learn! And Joe Fix-it fans are in for a treat as well. (If you have no idea what THAT means-GOOD-look it up, [...]

    5. Not much happens or develops or reveals itself. It was good to see Tony Stark consider Hulk's feelings in the Las Vegas story. Fred van Lente writes a story that's better than it needs to be for this type of collection; it's my favorite. On the other side of things, Max Fiumara seems an odd choice as artist for a Hulk story. Maybe it's a kind of audition piece? I prefer his work with Dark Horse.

    6. Five stories into battles that the Hulk had with the Avengers. But in none of them is there a clear winner.

    7. A very limited concept but plenty of fun. These are stories that take place between issues of Hulk and the Avengers.
