    1. **A 3.5 Review**When I was in junior high I was obsessed with Kurt Cobain. He was (in my eyes) a straight, tightly strung, musical string to my hyper hormone driven emo heart. He just…got me. While my friends pranced around listening to Boyz 2 Men and singing songs like “I’ll Make Love To You” on the bus (much to my teachers disdain) I would curl up with my journal and try to hash out the hidden meaning behind songs like “Come As You Are.” I wasn’t a social reject, I was just a lit [...]

    2. To see my full review:wp/p1jhaj-3uKHave you ever wondered what it would be like to be a twin? I have. Whenever I see twins, I'm always wishing that I had one, too. Sisterly love, someone just like me to confide it. Someone with which to share my secrets, dreams, and ambitions the glamorization of twins has always made me jealous of those with that special bond. But glamorization is just that. The grass always seems greener on the other side, and truth be told, I can do all the above with a good [...]

    3. Four and a half stars! I think I liked it because it had a lesson and left me happy, not longing for the next book to come out. I think as I was growing up, having 2 sisters, at one time or another you wanted to switch places. Now all of us resembled each other, but could never be a twin. I will say that there is an alternating POV and usually I hate those, but this was real time, not past versus present. So for that reason I was cool with it. I will say that Bryn passes away. I guess it is no s [...]

    4. I really love the books about twins. I don’t have a sister but I think that it’s awesome to have someone who is look exactly like you.Becoming Bryn was a pretty story with some interesting characters.I love Angela writing stile, and the characters who she created were on my taste.I have to admit that I loved Bryn more than Jesse, even her life seems perfect, there are many secrets around her. When she died I was OMG why???I thought that something have to happend, Jesse couldn’t take Bryn id [...]

    5. A sweet, clean romance. I liked the characters and felt satisfied by the ending. An entertaining ride.

    6. I knew before reading this book what it was about, but for some reason about a quarter of the way through I started resenting the book. I lost a sister – not my twin, but she was a twin – and this caused a decade of issues between my mother and me. It was hard for me to continue reading, reflecting on what my life had been like losing a sister, compared to how Bryn’s family is taking it in: in particular the references to Bryn being the favored (and perhaps more loved?) daughter.I became p [...]

    7. I received Becoming Bryn in return for an honest review from the publisher Acacia Publishing. Jesse has always been jealous of her twin sister Bryn’s life. Bryn has the perfect life she’s popular, cheerleader, has the cutest boyfriend in school, and her mother favors her. While headed to the corn maze the girls get into a fatal accident in which Bryn doesn't make it. Everyone thinks it was Jesse who passed away because she was wearing Bryn’s costume. It’s not like they can ask Jesse sinc [...]

    8. 3.5 Stars! What happens when two sisters who were once close start to grow apart? When one starts to envy the other? When one wishes she had the life that her twin sister leads? What would one of them do to get the life of the other? What and whom would she be willing to give up to get it and would it all be worth it in the end?Okay so maybe that sounded a little more sinister than this story really is, because honestly, it isn't malicious at all, not really. It is, however a story about learning [...]

    9. More of my reviews at The Cozy Reading CornerI don't I don't even know what to say. I am literally writing this review at 3:33 in the morning after staying up all night to finish this book in one sitting. My heart has been ripped out, shredded up, and then shoved back into my chest. This book frustrated me so freakin' much! I can't tell you how many times I wanted to reach into the book and shake some sense into Jesse! (I could literally feel my hands clenching at times, you guys!) But this jour [...]

    10. Originally reviewed at Sunshine ReviewsARC given in exchange for a review for the tour. Have you ever wonered what it would be like having a twin? I have. I mean, I wished I had a twin so many times. I always thought it would be fun to share the same face and that kind of stuff. But I never thought twins would have these type of problemsCOMING BRYN tells the story of Jesse and Bryn, twin sisters that drew apart after one got pushed up the social ladder. Jesse wants to feel loved, she wants to be [...]

    11. Jesse and Bryn are 17-year-old twins Jesse is the brainy one and Bryn is the popular one. Jesse's best friend is Ethan, who always has a different girlfriend. Bryn has been dating jock Quinton for five months and Jesse wants what Bryn has Quinton. There is an accident and Bryn dies but everyone thinks it's Jesse who died and Jesse lets them think that and becomes Bryn. This gives her access to Quinton but she loses Ethan as a friend since he wasn't Bryn's friend. Becoming Bryn isn't as easy as [...]

    12. See more of my reviews on my blog Thoughts At One In The Morning. My Thoughts:The idea of this one, let me tell ya, is pretty intense. When I first picked it up, I'm not sure what it was that I was expecting, but when the moment comes where everyone thinks Jesse is Bryn Yeah, that's when I discovered it was going to be different.Jesse pretending to be Bryn is a mix of hope and heartbreak. At first, you are trying to wrap your head around why Jesse would WANT to be Bryn, and you sort of get it. Bu [...]

    13. I received Becoming Bryn through a tour hosted by Irresistible Reads. So far I am really enjoying the beginning of this book and I like how the point of view switches between Jesse and Bryn. For me I can relate to Jesse more than Bryn because Bryn is one of those popular girls and everyone celebrates all of her little accomplishments. I like Jesse more because she is smart, gets straight A's and works hard at her job and still has time to volunteer. Bryn reminds me of a spoiled child who gets aw [...]

    14. Becoming Bryn is a beautifully written story about teenage twin sisters, Bryn and Jesse, who are becoming distant because they envy each others lives. A tragic accident, which kills Bryn, puts an end to that after Jesse takes over Bryn's life and realizes that it isn't really what it seems.First, I must say, the popular/nerdy twin thing totally reminded me of my favorite series growing up, Sweet Valley High! This book definitely brought me back a few years.I really enjoyed this book because it p [...]

    15. From my book review blog, Reading the Alphabet.I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of swapping places for a time with someone else who looks just like you. What drew me in were the circumstances under which Jesse was able to take the place of Bryn, but what kept me in the story were the characters: Jesse, Bryn, and Ethan especially.I immediately liked Jesse. I liked her even as I silently yelled at her in frustration for some of her choices at different points in the book. Carling did a won [...]

    16. Is the grass greener on the other side? Jesse gets a chance to find that out for real when she wakes up from a coma after a horrific car accident and discovers that everyone thinks she's her twin sister Bryn. When I began this book, I worried that it would be a little too bubblegum for me. Luckily, it turned out to be a really great read. Getting to see life from both Jesse and Bryn's points of view, you get to see that both sisters think the other one has it so easy - and in reality both sisters [...]

    17. “Becoming Bryn” puts a whole new twist on twins trading places. Angela Carling does a wonderful job depicting the struggles of modern day high school and I loved how this book dealt realistically with issues teens face today. The main characters had me biting my nails at moments and cheering them on at others. The plot takes unexpected turns that will send you for a loop! Also, reading the two different perspectives kept me turning the pages as fast as I could read. It took me less than 24 h [...]

    18. 3.5I really enjoyed the style of writing in this book. While it was very easy to tell this is Young Adult story it didn't come across as immature and/or cheesy. The way Brynn's POV was presented was clever and gave the story just the right angle to keep it interesting. Although I'm not a twin I feel like I related to Jesse and her feelings of being the less important sister. I was also well aware from the beginning that the way she perceived everything was different than reality. Watching her as [...]

    19. Becoming Bryn is the story of twin girls who don’t really have anything in common. On Halloween the girls switch costumes and their neighbor who is a cop saw their costumes before they switch them. They are going to park and a semi-truck hits them. Bryn was looking out of the sun roof unbuckled and when the truck hit Bryn was thrown from the car. Jessie got a big blow but didn’t die. Bryn instantly died, when the cop identified them he said Jessie died and Bryn lived. In the book it shows si [...]

    20. Needs a proofreaderThey story was very good. Thank you for no language or sex. The biggest flaws were the countless typos and grammatical errors any self-respecting English teacher would've had a field day correcting. For that alone, this felt like a first draft. A proofreader or a few good beta readers would've easily made this at least a 4.5 star book I could recommend to anyone.

    21. I don't usually read YA, but I really enjoyed this one. Poor Jesse, the grass is always greener on her sister Bryn's side, but a tragedy presents an opportunity for her to "become" Bryn and step into her supposedly perfect life. It comes with the perfect ending.

    22. Fantastic!! I loved this unique take on trading places. Throughout the book the perspective switches between the two twins. I've read books that use this technique but I absolutely adored the way it was done in, Becoming Bryn. I highly recommend this outstanding novel!
