    1. A Hearts On Fire Review ONE STAR--Jonathan Treadway's "Arriba Aruba" is a vacation-love themed novella features insta-love between a jilted groom and a man he meets on his flight to his vacation. Cray is 26, his best friend and female fiancee just eloped on the day of what was supposed to be Cray's wedding. The jilted writer is down in the dumps. His Waltons [insert your ideal perfect family here]-like family tries to comfort the sort of upset/sort of relieved weird angst of being jilted, MANTEA [...]

    2. 2.6 stars. A nicely laid out beginning, emotional but not excessively so, with plenty of potential and interesting avenues to explore. But somewhere in the middle, the story took on a rushed and underdeveloped note that could not shape a romance pleasing or believable enough for me.

    3. This story started off quite promising, but lost charm as it went on. It veered a little close to melodramatic at times, there were some glimmers of misogyny that were unnecessary and distasteful, and some of the descriptions in the sex scenes made me wince but, overall, it was okay.

    4. 3.75 stars. The relationship depicted here is realistic, sort of. Cray’s in a vulnerable place, and Stone is hotter than hot. But… Cray spends way too much time in his head, especially about his ex-fiancée and ex-best friend. After the third tired tirade about those two lasting for pages on end, I fear I skipped a paragraph or two.The story could have used more time with Stone, from his point of view. I longed to see what he saw in Cray, whom I didn’t particularly care for. Stone was far [...]

    5. B-A fun novella full of humor, sweetness and sarcasm. These guys are adorable.  I quickly found myself rooting for them to get together.Poor, confused Cray.  I think that in many ways he was a guy that had allowed others to dictate his life for so long that he had lost his ability to express what he wanted, even to himself.  Watching him find his happiness and move through his reservations and fear to claim the life he was meant to lead was great.Stone was one very sexy incentive to being tru [...]

    6. Review Written for mmgoodbookreviews.wordpress/ Cray was left at the alter by his fiancé when she eloped with his best man and best friend. Not wanting to deal with the rejection, he cashes his plane ticket for Mexico and exchanges it for Aruba. He meets Stone an flight and they quickly become friends and since going to the same lace decide to share a rental car and do a lot of things together. I thought this was a pretty cute story. I really liked the supportiveness of Cray’s family. I liked [...]

    7. Originally reviewed for The Book VixenI loved the set up of this novella with Cray consoling himself over being jilted. Cray’s pain is so believable with his life-long best friend and fiancé running off together and not sending word until Cray is waiting at the alter. Cray’s family isn’t on page long but their family dynamic is well written and enjoyable too. What didn’t work for me was the romance. Stone and Cray turn Aruba into an erotic playground, which was fine, but their emotional [...]

    8. Actually I think this story is (or could be) pretty interesting but I would have loved to see more depth to it. I know it's only the jumping-off point for the real story, but I felt the triange Cray/Maria/Tony was emotionally a little neglected concerning Crays feeling here. His feeling of abandonment vs. how he wanted to go through with sth. that felt wrong even to him There was just that big jump to - vacation time. I was irritated. But in the end - the story was nice and a light read and even [...]

    9. AHHH!!!I actually liked this book despite the insta-love, but I couldn't help but yell in frustration at the end.Was I the only one just dying for Cray to say something to his Ex-fiancée/best friend? As the book came closer to the end I was like "Okay its going to happen soon" and it never did. It was so needed. There needed to be the chance for Cray to say "Look I really don't appreciate what you guys did to me, but I forgive you" as well for him to shock them with the fact that because of the [...]
