    1. The first book left me out of breath wondering how the hell this story was going to be wrapped up. I was worried it would not live up to the greatness of the first one but I couldn't have been more wrong. I don't want to give anything away-this book is great and I recommend it. The action gets more intense in this one, as the full extent of the corruption and the danger of Michael and his families position becomes clear. Anyone that helps them is automatically put in harms way, and some people w [...]

    2. I enjoyed Lost Innocence parts one and two, what a powerfully written account of being wrongfully accused and imprisoned in Thailand. It's bad enough to be imprisoned in the first place, but in a filthy, run down place like the Bangkok prison described by Simon Palmer would be horrendous! Bangkok is truly a different world than I am used to and this gave some real insight into a world I never intend to be part of, but I was intrigued by the view into it from afar. This is a dramatic straight for [...]

    3. I thought the second half was much better than the first, I enjoyed reading the story, very interesting, worth reading.

    4. Free book for honest review. juliesbookreviewMichael Walker is a talented artist, when he lands a scholarship to a very prestige art college in London, he decides to make a trip to Thailand. Once in Bangkok he rents a studio and does what he came to do, sketch. Michael doesn't sketch just anything but something he always wanted to do, sketch "working girls" that work in the hostess bars. He soon gets into his own routine and soon finds he living his dream. . . . he thinks. . . .Michael soon find [...]

    5. Simon Palmer must have golden touch or pen to be able to write in such detail, depicting a tale of woe on unsuspecting visitors in different countries with such different laws on crime and politics. Something I think he truly nailed at spreading awareness to all of us weary travelers. The story was real, true, gritty and raw, it gripped you from the beginning and held tight till then end. You absolutely will cringe at the horrible prison conditions and atrocious acts on the inmates within. The w [...]

    6. Given To Me For An Honest ReviewLost Innocence: Breaking Point (part two) Tales From The Land of Smiles Book 2) by Simon Palmer is a must read to find out what happens to Matthew and the others from part one. It will grab you from page one and hold you down as you watch the pages turn and turn and turn some more and before you know it you are at the end. The plot is filled with one disaster after another and you will wonder will they ever get out. The way it is written the storyline draws you in [...]

    7. This book is the sequel to Lost Innocence Part 1: Wrongfully Accused. In keeping with the exciting, adventurous debut, part 2 takes the reader deeper into the heart of an intricate web of fast-paced action, corruption, plot twists and unforgettable characters. The story not only continues where part one left off, it accelerates and entertains, never disappointing. A vivid mix of action, fantasy and wit. Each scene is so well played into the next, that it is difficult to stop reading. As Michael's [...]

    8. I assume you've read book one so i'll do this review right off the cuff.Michaels time in Prison seems never ending and with what he's witnessed his resolve is waning and his principles that kept him there don't seem as important anymore especially when he learns of the blows his famiy has faced.Stan quickly showed his limitations and courage which really lowered my opinion of him. *Spoiler* His willingness to cheat on his wife so easily really put me off him and nothing he did redeemed him.Nigel [...]

    9. ** I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.**Wow, book 2 was just as emotional as book 1. I absolutely love the storyline and the way it followed through from the first part until the end. I really wasn't sure how this story would unfold, and that, for me, was a great attribute. The realism that transpired throughout part 1 and part 2 was astounding. One of the parts that hit me was the spiritual aspect and how it played a huge part to Michael and Nigel with the ove [...]

    10. I found both parts of the book to be very intriguing. I've heard tales of foreign prisons, but I must say Simon Palmer really make it come to life with his style of descriptive writing. Much to my chagrin, I could feel myself there with the darkness, the smells, the insects, but I stopped myself at the cruelty of the guards and other inmates for my own peace of mind!I found The Accused - Part 1 to be quite a cliff-hanger so I strongly advise you get both parts of Book One and be ready to move qu [...]

    11. Palmer doesn't miss a beat as this picks up exactly were Book 1 left off and his perfectly descriptive writing is still at it. The action is constant from start to almost finish where we are treated to a neat wrap up of most characters. This book was done brilliantly, in a way that it can serve just as it has, ending the series at Book 2 or, as the characters were very memorable they could easily entertain us some more. I read this book in a day, the same day that I read Book 1 -I could put down [...]

    12. This book is not my typical read, but I have to say that it was not what I expected. The author takes a horrific event and turns it into an thrilling and yet heartfelt story. This author's talent at writing a scene that completely captivates and pulls you right in is exceptional. Breaking Point picks up right where The Accused left off and the story takes an unexpected turn. The main character, Michael's story doesn't seem to end with the conclusion to this book, and I look forward to reading th [...]

    13. After reading and loving Lost Innocence part 1 and was left with a cliff hanger I eagerly awaited the arrival of part 2 and, oh boy, I was not disappointed. Part 2 took me again back into the side of Bangkok most tourists will hopefully never experience, the side that is gritty and brutal. The characters gained even more depth and the story evolved chapter by chapter with no holds barred. I held my breath and could not stop reading until the final solution – nail biting stuff, will keep you at [...]

    14. This story has everything a reader could want. I forgot where I was, or what I was supposed to be doing, because I was totally absorbed in the plot, and the characters.Simon Palmer's Lost Innocence took me into the Bangkok Hilton, Thailand's notorious jail. I could smell fear, both in the jail and on the streets of Bangkok. It excites and terrifies. I have read parts 1 & 2 'The Accused' and 'Breaking Point,' so I this review applies to both and I will use it for both. Can't wait for the next [...]

    15. Book 2 follows on immediately where book 1 finishes. This book had me gripped again I just needed to find out what happened next and if Micheal would ever be free. I'm hoping there is more to come from this author as their are some secondary characters I would like to read about.
