    1. The first story was the one that captured my attention the most although horror fans will no doubt enjoy the following two short stories that come after it. I can't help but love my sci fi and it was a nicely written tale.I also enjoyed the nonfiction pieces about fandom activism and the story reviews. While many no doubt subscribe to the stories it's good to see some interesting or thought provoking nonfiction pieces included as well. I would like to see the poems moved farther up in issue inst [...]

    2. Both Coins for Their Eyes by Kris Millering and The House in Winter by Jessica Sirkin were wonderful. Coins for Their Eyes is about a psychopomp, a traveler trapped at the crossroads, who helps others pass on. The House in Winter is a Hansel and Gretel retelling that wonders where did the witch come from in the first place? Both stories are eerie and weird and wonderful.
