    1. She was not like any other debutante. Scheming and manipulation were foreign to her, not mother's milk. In fact, she was one of the few people he trusted. So my next read is obviously going to be the first book in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed this highly entertaining regency romp! Vivienne Lorret is a new author to me but The Season's Original series has definitely got a budding fan in the making! I absolutely love the fact that all the titles in the series are a spin-off on well known songs [...]

    2. 'This Earl is on Fire' by Vivienne Lorret is book two in the "Season's Original" series. This is the story of Miss Adeline Pimm and Liam Cavanaugh. I have not yet read the previous book so for me this was a standalone book. Although after enjoying this one I do want to get that previous book called 'The Debutante Is Mine'. Liam was a playboy, rouge and after being hurt by a women when he was young now also makes him a man trying to avoid marriage. But sometimes you have to be 'knocked over the h [...]

    3. full review to come Rather nice story with a great heroine and a very nice set of supporting friends. Everyone was kind and friendly save for the villain (late appearance), but the hero is so pig-headed that I wanted to smack him a few times. After all the sweet heroine has done, the dude still things she is trying to trap him into marriage!? And even said she doesn't want to marry. *rolls eyes*

    5. So I officially can say that I absolutely loved THIS EARL IS ON FIRE! Liam and Adeline were just the right amount of push and pull to keep my clinging to my kindle! Lorret continues to prove that she is a talented story teller who brings the magic back to historical romance!Adeline is in London with her family for her first time in society where she wants to experience exciting adventures. The Pimms come to find a bloodied and bruised man in the doorway of their rental for the season, and they t [...]

    6. I barely got through the first couple of chapters of This Earl is on Fire before finally giving up on account of the intolerable leads.Liam was a first class douche, yet another one of those ‘distrusts ALL women because of ONE woman’s betrayal’. You’d think authors would've grown tired of writing this type of ‘hero’ by now but evidently not and I’ve had the bad luck of encountering a lot of them as of late. Adeline on the other hand was just ridiculous. Between her heart suddenly m [...]

    7. 4.5 Stars. It would have been five if it weren't for that 20 or so page moment of stress and dare I say it "hurry the fuck up"-dom. This book has insta something, but it ain't love. It's like uhm a spark! She sees him and its like well he makes me feel womanly, but its not like omg heart eyes heart eyes I love him! So don't worry. For this book only to be 276 pages, it moves pretty slowly. The first 100 pages or so were filled with damn they should kiss already feelings. lol but maybe I was just [...]

    8. Reviewed for herding cats & burning soup.: amzn/2aThBGaLorret is quickly becoming a new addition to my auto-buy list. Yall, This Earl is on Fire was so much fun!The quick of it is that Adeline has been sheltered her entire life because of a leg deformity but her family has come up from the country for her to have a proper Season. Adeline though? She's not thought in her mind of marriage but of.nture. Now, having it land on her doorstep in the form of one very injured--and naughty--Earl? Well [...]

    9. 5 Stars!WOOOOOOOOW!!! This book was amazing! Beyond amazing, it was so phenomenal that it left me speechless! We have Liam, the Earl of Wolfold and the wondrous Adeline Pimm. They bot complimented each other so well and I seriously couldn't from having this goofy smile on my face anytime these two graced the pages. They just had this chemistry and this relationship that was just so endearing and wonderful that I couldn't help but swoon. Yes, SWOON. Loved these two!I also liked to see Liam's chang [...]

    10. I enjoyed his second installment in Vivienne Lorret’s series of the Season’s Original as much as I did the first. It’s sweet and engaging with a jaded hero and the sweet, country miss who shows him that it may be worth it to trust people again. We met Liam, the Earl of Wolford, in the last book. He came off as a complete wastrel, but we learn here that he crafted that reputation on purpose. Liam is trying to keep himself apart from society, specifically the conniving debutantes, scheming fo [...]

    11. Few things shock Liam Cavanaugh. The much scandalized Earl of Wolford is no stranger to the rumor mill. Whether it be by way of the scandal sheets or word of mouth. But when he finds himself injured, unable to see, and in a strange bed. Liam becomes all to aware that this latest scandal is far more truth than anything that even he is prepared for.Adeline Pimm has always longed for adventure. A desire long denied her. Due to an injury at her birth; which left one leg shorter than the other. But n [...]

    12. Vivienne Lorret has been added to my slowly growing list of historical authors that I'm really enjoying. If you follow me on my blog or you will see I usually shy away from them, but for the past two months I have been getting more into them and finding some I really do enjoy and I'm happy to say This Earl Is On Fire is one of them. While the cover is beautifully done it's the title that immediately caught my interest and I'm so glad it did! Adeline is new to London and she is seeking all the a [...]

    13. 4/4.5 Stars | Hot SteamOh, this story! It's so beautiful it sings! Adeline and Liam are made for one another. SighI cherished every moment I spent with them. A must-read, Season Original series stand out, and one of Vivienne Lorret's finest novels to date! Triple swoon! Waiting until October 4th to read Juliet and Max's story is going to be torture! :)

    14. This series just keeps getting better and better! I really enjoyed that none of the things that bothered me about the first book (for example mentioning stuff that had happened in the novella that takes place before book 1 without explaining them sufficiently, and a plot that seemed to focus on too many things at one for me) were the case here. If not for the somewhat unnecessary drama (view spoiler)[which includes a last minute kidnapping and attempted murder so the hero finally realizes he's i [...]

    15. Originally bought this book because of its title. I ended up enjoying it, the romance was nice but the pacing was kind of off and a lot of elements and phrases kept getting reused.

    16. Vivienne Lorret’s This Season’s Original Series just gets better and better. I’m totally addicted to this series and can’t wait for the next book! This Earl is on Fire is a captivatingly, deeply passionate, roller coaster of a read. This story is well deserving of 5 stars. We are first met by the Pimm’s family who open their door to find a man slumped on their stoop. He’s been horribly beaten up and unconscious. The Pimm’s, with the help of their butler, drag him inside. Their daug [...]

    17. Review: Adeline Pimm, has just come into London with her family. She was born with a deformity in her leg that gives her a limp.Because of this her parents protect and shelter her a lot.She has always felt different and hasn't really belonged anywhere. Now, that she is in London, she longs to discover things that weren't available to her before and wishes to go on adventures. Her first adventure comes in the form of Liam Cavanaugh, the Earl of Wolford, whom she and her family find in a dangerous co [...]

    18. Sheltered all her life by loving parents, Miss Adeline Pimm is determined to prove that she can stand on her own two feet. What better way to do that than with a London season where she feels she is fully prepared to make this an adventure; her only concern is her secret coming to light. A secret that has her determined never to marry. A secret that she feels elicits pity and/or repulsion. What Adeline isn’t prepared for is family myth affecting her in a way she is not prepared to explore when [...]

    19. I received a free copy for an honest review. When I discovered this author in The Debutante is Mine, I was very happy to add another author to my must read TBR list. I expected a lot going into this book. I am glad to say that I enjoyed it more than the previous book. The author sure surpasses the standard set previously. The characters are so real and the author has the art of making us fall for them easily. Adeline is a feisty and independent miss and her fire and attitude are seen throughout th [...]

    20. I could of easily stopped reading this at the point in the story where "the mean girls" bully the heroine into cutting off her beautiful hair. This ploy was so contemporary American in it's nature that it ruined a book that had started out with a very good premise. It's a regency Ms. Lorret, pick a genre please, just because you dress them up in 19th century attire, does not make it an historical, especially if you don't write the correct mores and vernacular of the era.The thing that's so disap [...]

    21. In book two of the Season's Original series I was pleasantly surprised with how sweet and believable this story was. I totally adored the heroine, Adeline, who was one of those sweet and charming heroines that burrows deep in your heart. I found her naiveté refreshing.Liam, the hero whom she finds all beat up and takes in to care for, added a bit of mystery to the story. he's one of those rakes we all want to redeem and reform and our heroine has her hands full.Adeline actually was a perfect wo [...]

    22. Adeline's tender heart will not allow her to look away from a soul in pain. When she comes across a wounded man in her doorway, she doesn't think twice of the danger to herself. She cares for him, gets to know him and falls hard. Liam, has no idea who the woman with the sweet voice and gentle hands is. Nor does he know what happened to him and why. His one thought is that his soul is lighter than ever and his heart is falling fast for this serene woman. Unfortunately, just because you don't reme [...]

    23. I loved The Debutante Is Mine, so of course I had to snatch up a copy of This Earl Is on Fire as soon as I possibly could! And I wasn't disappointed, just like the previous book, This Earl Is on Fire is sweet, fun, and pretty much just a delight. This Earl Is on Fire starts off with a bang, with Adeline and her parents finding Liam on their doorstep, bloody and bruised. It sets off her relationship with Liam, which I loved, because I don't feel like too many historical romances work quite so heav [...]

    24. This was a quick read, and an entertaining one. Both characters have their infuriating moments, but the pacing was pretty good. If anything I felt like there wasn’t enough build up early on. It seemed like a lot of the steamier stuff happened more than half-way into the book. So you have to be a bit patient with these two. I am so used to Kleypas who does such a great job with mounting sexual tension and the gradual but steady development of the physical relationship, that this seemed on the t [...]

    25. It was boring at the first 3/4 of the novel which disappointed me a bit because it seemed so interesting when I skimmed it.Is the Standard a formal newspaper or a gossip column? Because if it is the latter, then shouldn't it be more mysterious? A lot of zigzags?I mean, what is the point of mentioning just the first letter of the title or the surname if the writer will still spill everything? I really find very, very stupid. Might as well state the whole title or surname.

    26. This book lost points for leaving a few character and plot points dangling. However, it gained nearly all of them back by being a book about a woman with a bum leg who is fiercely independent and has an awesome family that supports her, and the orphan who falls stupidly in love with her and her awesome family despite being fiercely independent himself. There's even a somewhat interesting mystery and some choice hurt/comfort tropes included.
