    1. This was for the most part an interesting book, though a bit cheesy in places. The fact it's 13 years old also meant it felt a bit dated. However, I did enjoy reading about the history of jello-o as a food, and as a successful business venture. My biggest gripe with the book is that there were no color photos

    2. Exactly what you would expect from this type of book. Explores the invention, development, marketing, social history of Jell-O. Profiles the Jell-O gallery in the inventor's hometown, showcases Jell-O art exhibits and science journals. Lots of Jell-O advertising shown, slogans from all times are documented. Well written, serious but light.

    3. This really is the best book on the subject, covering not just the history of the brand and product, but also the social impact of it.

    4. Cute and full of pictures, recipes and information. Easily read by a casual food historian. More about Jell-O than you'd ever want to know. Good history of corporate promotions.

    5. A quick little read recommended for anyone with a free evening on their hands and the remotest interest in the cultural impact of Jell-O.

    6. Never knew there was so much information about Jell-O. Book is interesting, but some of the text is hard to read because of the background coloring.
