    1. This is the second half to be debut novel "A Prisoner's Welcome." (See review of APW for explanation) This second half is much more focused that the first and the series plot line begins to reveal itself. Most fans have noted that they enjoyed the fact that they did not understand the main series plot line in the first book. They said that "it kept the story arc fresh and exciting."     2. A fantastic start to a fantastic world. A world, in fact, that I would one day be hired to write in. Shane Moore uses his police background to get inside the villain's heads where he makes you love the bad guys. Or more accurately, makes you question who the bad guys even are. You see both sides of the coin and understand their reasoning. The question becomes, how are both sides going to win, when clearly they're both right? This entire series is well worth reading, including it's many spin offs [...]
