    1. 04 APR: Beauty and the Beast Read about 1/3 of it Not even the pretty cover with Paul could save it. This book is very, very boring. The author keeps using terms that I still have no idea what they mean, the characters feel flat to me and I don't understand what the hell is happening in this book! I mean the heroine is a psychiatrist or smth that may or may not be able to take memories from people, the hero has gone through a transformation that we don't know why or how it happened, he ends up o [...]

    2. I did enjoy this book. I was surprised since I am generally burnt out on paranormal romance books but it is clear that Ms. Wright can create an interesting story. Here, the two main characters Alexander and Sarah cross paths when Alexander shows up on her doorstep (literally). He has just gone into premature Morpho (turning into a mate seeking, blood ravaged, and sun-avoiding vampire) and uses Sarah’s shadowed porch for protection from the sun. Is it just a coincidence that he ends up at Sarah [...]

    3. Just nope. Nope nope nope. This was a damn confusing book! I read about 40% of it and I understood nothing, not one thing! Ok, I understood the "boy meets girl" part but the history, the background, it was all just so confusing!Ah, and 5 POVs (so far)! Usually, I don't like that. This book didn't disappoint on that account, I hated it.And the insta-love thing was way worse than usual. So nope.

    4. View review atUnder the CoversDon’t be thinking that this is just another vampire paranormal! Laura Wright has her own distinct voice that I really enjoyed reading. She’s got her world building in the palm of her hands and she knows how to conjure up some really great scenes! Let me get into all the things I loved about this book! Firstly, I LOVED SARA DONAHUE!! There were several aspects about her that sparked my interests, such as her job, her brother Gray and her discovery of this unique [...]

    5. This book has a guaranteed read logo on the back and let me tell you I back that guarantee. What an awesome read. I absolutely loved the main characters, Alexander and Sara but let me tell you the secondary characters where just as hot (Nicholas, Lucian and Dillion.) Tall, dark and dangerous is what Alexander is and his brothers are just as hot. Fast paced, dark, delectable, passionate and sexy as hell best describe this book. I loved it. Got hook right from the first page. GET this book, you're [...]

    6. I don't know that does 1/2 stars but if it did, I would give this book 4.5 stars!! I really liked this one but I'm not FOR SURE if I'd read it again. Maybe. Probably.I've never read Laura Wright before. She was on my list of recommendations so I thought I'd give her a shot. Boy, am I glad I did!Eternal Hunger is a paranormal romance about vampires (aren't they all these days?). One vampire family in particular. Well, brothers, anyways. The Roman brothers are tall, dark, handsome and menacing. T [...]

    7. Great start to a sexy new series; Eternal Hunger is definitely a new favorite!I struggled at the beginning of the novel because everything is thrown at you all at once; new terms, meanings, ect. It would have been a big help if there was a glossary to use as a reference, but after the first few chapters I was able to get the hang of this new world Laura Wright has brilliantly created and the story started to flow for me.Alexander Roman grabbed me right from the start. He is a sexy alpha male and [...]

    8. I am truly debating on using the “Great Read Guarantee” that is mentioned on the cover of this book. The author does an extreme amount of conflict building in this book. The book is in fact over cluttered with conflict. One of the conflicts that was brought into Alexander & Sara’s romance was Bronwyn. She claims to be Alexander’s true mate. She claims to have proof, but won’t share it; everyone just takes her word for it. The way she shows up with this claim leaves me with the feel [...]

    9. I was very disappointed with this one. I wish I would have kept my receipt to use my money back guarantee. I love to read romance and paranormal is my favorite, I never read a romance in this story. I never connected with either Sara or Alexander, I never found the depth of their story either. There is sex scenes, I just couldn’t get into them for one Sara always gets into the sex but Alexander, he just doesn’t want a mate and he doesn’t want her, a few times he wont go all the way with he [...]

    10. 1. Sara is a recipient of oral sex on about ten different occasions, and yet Alex gets no pleasure whatsoever until the end of the book. She half-heartedly asks him about it, but it goes no further. Why? Not only is this unrealistic, but it's pointless. Is it meant to prove he's a martyr? Because he isn't. He's so selfish. 2. When Alex offers to cure her brother, she tells him not to because she thinks it means all the time SHE spent trying to find a cure would have been useless. Um, can you say [...]

    11. I definitely enjoyed this first in a series featuring vampire Alexander Roman's evolving connection with Dr. Sara Donohue. Sara was smart, strong, and able to roll with the punches, and she was immediately likable and sympathetic. Alexander's unique physicality made him especially appealing, as did the interesting powers he had as a "morphed" vampire. The world building in EH was very interesting and spun a different take on vampires' role in the modern world. The sexual tension between the char [...]

    12. This is the first book in Laura Wright's Mark of the Vampire series. She has created a unique world and I had a hard time following it at first. So many terms and no glossary in book 1. I would suggest getting the glossary from book 2 before you start this series. That would have helped me keep all the definitions straight. The story was very interesting and I loved the characters. This book set up at least 4 more stories that I want to read! I look forward to seeing what she does with this seri [...]

    13. ETERNAL HUNGER sucked me in and didn't let go until the very last page! I fell in love with Alexander, Nicholas and Lucian, the tormented, and sinfully sexy, sons of the Breeding Male. Laura Wright builds a fascinating world, her characters are magnetic and I can't wait for the next book, ETERNAL KISS!If you are looking for a fast-paced, sexy and emotionally charged read, don't miss out on ETERNAL HUNGER!

    14. I knew the moment I read the blurb that ETERNAL HUNGER could possibly be a new series for me to get addicted to with a fascination for three brothers. Alexander, Nicholas and Lucian took me into their world of the Credenti, the Impure and The Order. They are sons of the Breeding Male, rebels living outside the Pureblood society and go their own way in life. Now there is unrest with the Impure’s and one steps up and takes their issues to a whole other level. One that threatens the Pureblood rac [...]

    15. Dr. Sara Donahue’s one goal in life is to help her brother Gray mentally recover from a tragic house fire that occurred years ago. Sara blames herself for this fire and Gray has never been the same since. She has become a doctor to try to cure him.Coming home from work early one morning, there is a man curled up outside her door. Thinking he is a homeless man, she tries to nudge him out of the way. But she soon hears him speaking to her in her mind asking for help! Confused, and noticing his s [...]

    16. A new twist in this great tale of Vampires, true mates, and evil doersjump on board and enjoy the ride. Description:In the dark, fear and desire are one.Alexander Roman wants nothing to do with the controlling rulers of his vampire breed or the family he escaped from a hundred years ago. But as a new threat to the pureblood vampires emerges, Alexander's ties to the past are forced upon him again, and without warning, he finds himself—disoriented, terrified, and near death—at the door of a st [...]

    17. Eternal Hunger is the first book in the Roman Brothers trilogy by Laura Wright and a Signet Eclipse Paranormal Romance.Book Blurb:Alexander Roman wants nothing to do with the controlling rulers of his vampire breed or the family he escaped from a hundred years ago. 18. This book took me absolutely forever to finish. Two words describe this book. Boring. Predictable. The beginning of the book is too confusing. And the writing is sometimes awkward, making it that much harder to read. It felt as if everything was explained to death, boring me to tears. Also the characters felt very impersonal. I just couldn't connect with anyone. Not even a little. In parts it was so bad, I just didn't care one way or the other about what happened to the characters. The author neve [...]

    19. Eternal Hunger is book 1 in theMark of the Vampire Series , by Laura Wright. ’ Recommendations on my home page pointed me to this book, which I have to say was a wonderful choice. Being a devoted PNR fan, I was delighted to read this refreshingly alternative view of vampire societies and characters. The cast of characters were extremely unique and intriguing. The world building and cast backgrounds were exposed a little bit at a time until shocking revelations near the end of this fun story. I [...]

    20. Now and then an author will come along to “wow” me with their unique and different take on vampires; especially when I am feeling quite blah on the subject or that vampires are too over-done, too cliché. Eternal Hunger really ought to have a warning sticker. Warning, reading this book will cause you to neglect housechores, husband, children, pets, and the world as a whole. Because that is exactly what happened to me, I started EH and next thing I knew my hubby was chewing me out for neglec [...]

    21. I thought this was a good start to a new series. I kind of give authors some leeway when it's the first book of a series only because I know there's a lot of introductions (new world, characters, etc) involved. Eternal Hunger kept my interest throughout and made me want to read the next book, and in my opinion that means it was a success.I like Alexander, but part of my issue with the book was that he wasn't as fleshed out as I would've wanted. What happened with him that caused him to be locked [...]

    22. I have to start out by saying that I am totally in love with Laura Wright and the new vampire world that she has created. The Roman Brothers are dark, dangerous, secretive, devoted, protective and sexy as hell. Eternal Hunger is the first book in this series about the Roman Brothers I feel in love with all of them from the very first page. Alexander is so dark and tormented by his past, present and his future He is the head of the family, he has to be the strong one, the brave one, and the savio [...]

    23. If you like a good old fashioned paranormal romance then sink your teeth (sorry, we had to) into this new fab series. As steamy as it is mysterious, the language and sex scenes can be rather choice at times, which seems like a very clever trick to hold or snap back a reader’s attention. The plot is as good as any other in the genre, with multiple storylines happening or budding simultaneously that begin to intertwine with each other.Alexander is strapping, protective alpha-type example of the [...]

    24. Paranormal erotica. Entertaining in the same way as a stereotypical Harlequin novel. It wasn't bad, but certainly not good either. The plot was actually half-decent, but very obviously just an excuse for the two main characters to 'get it on' as often as possible, and their relationship was so over-the-top unrealistic that it became plain ridiculous.Had the author spent more page-time on the plot, and less page-time writing smut, it could actually have been an excellent book, as the genre does h [...]

    25. Looking for a new vampire series to read? Well here it is!! This is a very enthralling start to a series. It has lots of action fighting and other kind, great characters, love and flows very well. The main female character is strong and independent which is a refreshing change. The eldest Roman Brother Alexander is amazing I love everything about him. The other characters you meet are just as good from the other brothers to the female vampire bodyguard. You like them all. With an evil person you [...]

    26. I made it through what is probably the worst first chapter I've ever read (with so much flat-out info-dumping, you'd think it would be less confusing), through enough of it to figure out the world-building (highly derivative - think Larissa Ione meets JR Ward) and through enough internal and external dialog to conclude that all the characters are either hysterical or stupid at all times. Then, I got to the grossness. Focusing on the villains' sexual depravity is not something I enjoy reading abo [...]

    27. This book took almost halfway before it became interesting, then it was great. Alexander has gone through the vampire puberty and is now a morpho. While going through that change, which means no more sunlight, he finds shelter on Sara's doorstep. She pulls him into the house which just happens to have an extra psycho patient in there wanting to hurt her. Alexander helps her out and is very attracted to her even knowing that now that he's a morpho, his true love has to be a vampire. There are so [...]

    28. So, I've been I. A reading slump for a few months now. No book has sounded very interesting that I hadn't already read & then, I wasn't in the mood to re-read anything either. This book had been on my TBR list for a while & one of my GR friends recommended that I read it, so I did. It ended up being exactly what I needed - just a typical vampire PRN with a HEA. Nothing weird, out of the ordinary or fancy Just PRN & that's what you get with this book. Great read & I will definitel [...]

    29. Some part of the story were interesting and totally new. Unfortunately, the rest was too much a mush-up of BB Brotherhood and the midnight series.
